Personal Sharings

Hey all!! I’m Alwin, a PArts student in SYFC. There are many valuable lessons I’ve been learning from the ministry and I’d just like to share part of the experience with you.

When I first came to PArts as a student, I expected the glamour and fame of playing in a band. But now as I look back, I think I’ve gotten so much more than that. Till now, I haven’t had an opportunity to perform, but I have been involved in many events. I help out a lot in logistics, sound and lights and I’ve definitely learned a lot from the older youths.

In PArts, I’ve also picked up a lot of godly principles and values from the various Bible studies we’ve had and these things reinforce the lessons I learn in church - it’s made me to see a lot of things I didn’t notice before. I would also like to say that the fellowship I share with the Brothers and Sisters I’ve met in YFC is very tight as well, they always encourage me and show me that we are all in this life together seeking God as one body of Christ.

I really enjoy my time at YFC and the PArts ministry and I really encourage those who are not only talented in music, but who are earnest to be involved in youth evangelism, to join YFC. Definitely, you must be prepared that service is not easy, for the work of God never is. But I believe that as one family, we can all support and encourage one another and point one another towards the Cross.

Alwin is a Christian student with PArts.  He first came to know about the ministry in August 2006 when PArts brought a foreign music team into his school.  He is currently learning drums and vocals.
