Do Online Social Networks Strengthen or Weaken Relationships? podcast!

February 13th, 2009 by parts

Yup, the ‘invisible admin’ has been working to concoct different things to spice up life on our very own blogs.

This season, we look at online social networks or platforms and what the people behind these ‘creations’ are really like? What are godly guidelines we can follow when we read/write on such networks?

Find out on this series, recorded live, in a forum between our Emcees Rachel & Carmen, and a panel of staff, volunteers and students.

Cuppycakes for Project Serve Lunch

January 26th, 2009 by parts

Some of the girls came together last last friday to bake CUPCAKES for the project servants’ lunch on 17th Jan! We had a fabulous time baking for the first time together -burning butter, faithfully stirring sugar that won’t dissolve, throwing the mess away and almost making scrambled eggs. Almost. We were relieved things turned out pretty well, thanks to many who were a great help :D

CCIS 2008

December 24th, 2008 by parts

We have just participated in a massive effort to share the Christmas story with the throngs of visitors to Orchard Road.  While soaking in the festive season, braving the rain and massaging tired legs, we managed to sneak a group shot :)

WHO WE ARE

Formed in 1991, Performing Arts (PArts) puts together our thematic music and drama packages to communicate issues close to the hearts of youths.

Today, we have two teams - a band and a drama team who are dedicated to growing in the Word of God together, as well as to diligent practice for the sake of youth evangelism.

WHO WE ARE REACHING

Our passion is to reach non-Christian youth with the gospel. This is done through our music and drama presentations. We have also brought our performances to other countries like Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Taiwan and seen young people abroad coming to know Christ.

WHAT WE DO

We work closely with our student-based grassroots ministries and Youth for Christ of neighboring countries. We perform at school assembly programs, churches, put up evangelistic concerts and go on short-term mission trips. PArts packages include modern dance choreography, popular secular songs with appropriate lyrics, skits, crowd breakers, testimonies, mimes and messages.
